About Aquarium Maintenance Solutions

Aquarium Maintenance Solutions was originally founded as Sharky's Aquarium Maintenance Service, in 1995, by Adam Pierce.

Adam has fifteen years of saltwater reef aquarium experience, maintaining SPS (Small Polyp Scleractinia), LPS (Large Polyp Stony), Softie (soft coral), and fish only aquariums, as well as freshwater aquariums. Adam began working in pet stores when he was 18 years old, and during college, he worked as a freelance aquarium maintenance technician. After college, Adam began a career in Information Technology for an international Fortune 500 company, all the while maintaining and enjoying a sophisticated reef aquarium of his own. After nine years, he came to the conclusion that fish were more to his liking than corporate America, and he decided to change his career path, to pursue the calling that he was most passionate about, reef aquaria. Adam is a member of CMAS (Chicagoland Marine Aquarium Society) and a moderator at Uberfrags.
